Work with Children – Behavior Rehabilitation Specialist (SE King Co and So. Snohomish Co.)

Behavior Management for Adults and Children (BMAC). We are looking for people with the interest and aptitude to work with school aged children and youth with challenging behavior. Most of our students have developmental disabilities such as Autism, or other intellectual impairments. Other clients include young people with behavior disorders or mental health diagnoses. Experience working with, or spending time around individuals with developmental disabilities or conduct disorders a plus, but some of our staff had no previous experience and have become very successful. Must have reliable transportation.

Our Behavior Rehabilitation Specialists receive training and support by experienced, credentialed Behavior Analysts and Behavior Specialists. BRS staff teach functional life skills, academic and/or pre-academic skills and respond to behavior issues. We work mostly on a 1:1 basis with children in an educational setting, but sometimes have need for staff to work with young people in family homes. An excellent opportunity to work with children and youth and significantly increase your skills and knowledge of behavior interventions, teaching and intellectual disabilities. This is the kind of work you can be proud of.

You will not find better training or technical behavior support. This is a superior opportunity for individuals interested in increasing their behavior management skills or for exploring a future career in teaching, counseling or other human service endeavors. Hours are limited during summer months, but most of our staff return to full hours in the fall.
