Veterinary emergency technician, assistant/receptionist (Lacey/Olympia)

Two openings in an Olympia area veterinary emergency/after-hours clinic. Both are permanent positions that require at least 1 year experience working at a veterinary clinic/hospital. Please do not apply unless you have that experience. The hours will consistently include nights, holidays and weekends. We have been practicing progressive emergency medicine for over 13 years in Olympia and are looking for individuals to join our small team of veterinary professionals and animal lovers. We are looking for staff with an interest in emergency medicine and an emphasis in customer service and compassionate patient care. These are not “typical 9-5″ hours, but generally involve more days off between shifts than a typical weekend.

1. Licensed Veterinary Technician: Full Time. Must have current license in good standing in Washington State. Specific emergency experience preferred but not necessary. Must have exemplary technical skills and be eager to continually learn. Must be personable, articulate and oriented to patient care.

2. Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist: Part Time. This is frequently a combined position, where staff members are asked to embark on a variety of tasks simultaneously. Experience working in a clinical setting and exemplary customer service skills are required. Basic mathematical skills are also required. As an assistant, you will also be asked to take part in patient care and in maintaining a clean professional environment. Specific on the job training is provided.
