<p>The Manager of Counseling and Family Support Programs develops, supervises and coordinates all counseling and community education programs, manages related grants and contracts, and is responsible for outreach to other providers and the community. The Manager is also responsible for the Healthy Start Program and (office based) Parenting Classes . </p>
<p>REPORTS TO: Director of Youth and Family Services </p>
<p>JOB RESPONSIBILITIES </p>
<p>A. Supervisory Tasks<br />
<br />
1. Provide regular clinical supervision to all counseling staff including contract counselors.<br />
<br />
2. Provide supervision to Youth and Family Support Program Coordinator and to his/her staff when necessary.<br />
<br />
3. Oversees the supervision of volunteers and interns in the completion of their duties and service time as if they were staff.<br />
<br />
4. Provides program supervision and encourage team development to meet program goals.<br />
<br />
5. Provide recruitment, selection, orientation, training, supervision and evaluation of staff.<br />
<br />
6. Complete six-month and thereafter annual employee performance evaluations with each employee on a timely basis.<br />
<br />
7. Supervises and ensures implementation of CQI and file review process. </p>
<p>B. Program Planning and Development Tasks<br />
<br />
1. Develop systems and procedures for new programs.<br />
<br />
2. Plan and develop schedule of school and community education programs, such as Parenting Classes<br />
<br />
3. Maintain counseling practices consistent with current state law, professional ethics and treatment practices.<br />
<br />
4. Assess priorities for new resource/program development.<br />
<br />
5. Implement County, State and COA requirements in assigned Programs<br />
<br />
6. Complete and maintain monthly/quarterly and annual reports as assigned </p>
<p>C. Tasks Management<br />
<br />
1. Collect clients, staff and program performance data.<br />
<br />
2. Prepare monthly service reports and billing.<br />
<br />
3. Remain current and accountable for contract requirements, accreditation, and licensing.<br />
<br />
4. Meet regularly with the Director of Youth and Family Services.<br />
<br />
5. Perform Lead Manager role in Youth and Family Services Division, including requests for facility maintenance,and tasks designated and assigned by the Director of Youth and Family Services to be cross-program areas.<br />
<br />
6. Serve as spokesperson to interpret the Counseling and Family Support Programs to individuals, groups, and organizations when requested. </p>
<p>D. Community Relations Tasks<br />
<br />
1. Represent FOY on interagency task forces, networks etc.<br />
<br />
2. Meet with other providers to share program information and to coordinate services.<br />
<br />
3. Develop and facilitate local Advisory Committee.<br />
<br />
4. Initiate outreach to schools and other community groups for the purpose of disseminating information about the program, developing referral sources and creating good will. </p>
<p>JOB REQUIREMENTS </p>
<p>A. Education and Experience<br />
<br />
1. Master&#8217;s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family or related counseling field.<br />
<br />
2. A minimum of three years of experience in the field of family therapy at the professional level.<br />
<br />
3. A minimum of one year experience in clinical supervision of Masters level staff.<br />
<br />
4. Employees and volunteers who operate their own or Friends of Youth vehicles on Friends of Youth business must have a safe driving record as defined by Friends of Youth. Employees and volunteers who operate their own vehicle(s) on Friends of Youth business must carry auto liability insurance that complies with the requirements of Friends of Youth.<br />
<br />
5. Education or experience in cultural competency. </p>
<p>B. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities<br />
<br />
1. Knowledge of family system theory.<br />
<br />
2. Knowledge of treatment methods for crisis intervention, individual, group and family therapy.<br />
<br />
3. Knowledge of adolescent development and youth crisis including runaway behavior, abuse and neglect, etc.<br />
<br />
4. Knowledge of grants and contracts accountability helpful.<br />
<br />
5. Ability to develop and maintain community resources.<br />
<br />
6. Ability to work with and maintain a group of volunteers.<br />
<br />
7. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.<br />
<br />
8. Knowledge of relevant COA standards and participation in a Performance and Quality Improvement process.<br />
<br />
9. Must demonstrate sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural differences and a commitment to the value of cultural competency.<br />

<p>Reporting to the Chief Business Officer, this position oversees administrative functions of clinics including clinic facilities and operations, insurance and billing operations, human resources, and business operational reporting. </p>
<p>PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: </p>
<p>- Develops and implements clinic-specific customer service, human resource, and financial goals &amp; objectives consistent with company strategic plan and goals.<br />
<br />
- Performs all aspects of human resource management, including recruitment and retention, analyzing staff mix and deploying staff, benefit administration, ensuring competency of staff through development and regular evaluation, and providing disciplinary counseling.<br />
<br />
- Interface with insurance companies/payers regarding professional liability renewals and file maintenance; physician license, credentialing and network status; managing the contract renewal calendar; maintain/update CAQH information and maintain files.<br />
<br />
- Coordinate billing operations with contract medical billing service and managing monthly past due A/R dun letters.<br />
<br />
- Ensures customer satisfaction by analyzing customer complaints, concerns and suggestions and providing appropriate follow-through.<br />
<br />
- Plans and organizes staff and facilities to meet customer needs. Ensures routine maintenance is performed, problems corrected and systems in place to ensure a safe, comfortable environment for patient care/service delivery.<br />
<br />
- Markets and promotes new and existing programs and services to patients and community.<br />
<br />
- Participates in organization committees to establish or improve customer service and administrative plans and policies.<br />
<br />
- Manage registration and communication with professional organizations including MGMA, AASM, WSMA and National Sleep Foundation.<br />
<br />
- Develops and implements clinic-specific policies and procedures and implements and monitors system standard work. </p>
<p>REQUIREMENTS</p>
<p>This position requires a Bachelor&#8217;s degree in business administration, human resources or a related field.  Proven proficiency in financial management, the ability to communicate clearly, effectively and concisely to a variety of audiences; and strong Human Resources skills. Hospital or clinic experienced preferred.<br />
