Project Description:
The Change Project Manager coordinates changes from multiple development teams into a single picture of production change requests and deployments for managed test beds, and production environments. This position is responsible for assembling deployment instructions, coordination with operations team, and filing and management of all change requests. In addition, this position will manage some internal team infrastructure projects such as the migration to Team Foundation Server, and migration of the production system to SQL 2008. This is accomplished by working with and coordinating activities across various groups, including: production support staff, management, software developers, quality assurance testers, and system administrators.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages the coordination and transfer of software and configuration settings from development, through testing, and into the production / release environment.
- Helps to establishes procedures and implements the introduction of software from development to release.
- Gatekeeper for software deployment process to maintain and enforce policies and procedures for release management, guaranteeing repeatable processes
- Orchestrate scheduled and on-demand software deployment during business hours and off-hours to multiple environments. Communicate status during deployments to stakeholders, team members, and management.
- Create and maintain documentation of build and release processes and application configuration.
- Identifies and develops important benchmarks and on-going measurements to help understand areas of improvement and the success/failures of each deployment.
- Facilitates appropriate meetings with partners and internal resources to ensure effective releases.

- TFS Migration Project Manager
Needed Skills:
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with clients, stakeholders and Management
- Experience with Software Development Lifecycles and various Software Development Methodologies. Thorough understanding of Software Development and Quality Assurance processes, including organization and methods.
- 3 years experience in managing releases to technical environments
- 2+ years experience with Team Foundation Server or Product Studio experience working with other version control / configuration management tools.
- Five years experience in technology field with Windows and SQL environments including three tiered architecture: SQL back end, Web services middle tier, and desktop client application.
- The candidate must be able to work in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Must demonstrate high initiative, perform effectively in a team environment, and be able to work extended hours when necessary.
