English, Math, Science, History teacher (middle/high school) (Tacoma)

Slavic Christian Academy (Tacoma Campus) is a K-10 private school located at 2014 S 15 Street, Tacoma, WA 98405. We serve many families of first-generation immigrants to the US with Slavic origin. Thus, teacher’s experience with ESL students as well as the desire to be flexible in working with people of different cultural backgrounds is preferable, yet not necessary; a teachable heart is the most important thing to us.

We are accepting applications for the following teaching positions:

-English

-Math

-History

Science

in grades 5-10.

Some of the requirements include:

* a born-again Evangelical Christian (please, understand that this is a priority for our school),

* a heart for teaching as well as a desire to serve in a Christian school,

* degree in education preferred, Bachelors of Arts or Science considered,

* teacher certification (ACSI or state) preferred, not required.

Compensation is based on experience and education (no medical benefits).

We are hiring teachers both for this and next (2010-2011) school year.

Slavic Christian Academy is a member of ACSI, using A Beka and BJU curriculum.
